Kriens – Fräkmüntegg – Hergiswil

This excursion variant is possible via a somewhat more demanding footpath to the village of Hergiswil. Alternatively, you can use the cable car from Alpgschwänd. Total time required approx. 4 ¾ or 5 ½ hours. Total running time approx. 2 or 2 ½ hours.

  • Bus no. 1 from Lucerne train station to Kriens (Zentrum Pilatus) [15min].
  • Bus station - Pilatusbahn valley station [10min].
  • Gondola Kriens - Fräkmüntegg [30min]
  • Walk Fräkmüntegg - toboggan run [5min].
  • Tobogganing fun & lunch [90min]
  • Hike Fräkmüntegg - Hergiswil [120min]
  • Hergiswil train station - Lucerne train station [15min].
